I've never mentioned this but I've always entertained thoughts of doing covers with an instrument, video record it and then post it on my YouTube account.
Personally, I do sort of have a musical background. I did the electronic organ at first, moved on to piano and then tried to self teach myself guitar. Hah! For those of you who don't believe me, let me show you some pictorial proof...
Some of you may be thinking that this certificate is entirely photoshopped. Not to worry, I even have the score sheet of the exact breakdown.
The ink has actually sort of faded; if you want to see the score I believe you need to download the file itself and then zoom in.
Ya ya, I gave up soon after passing Grade 1 (with distinction!). Hahahah. I was 10 years old back then. Waking up early in the morning for piano lessons and then heading to school after that just didn't seem very justifiable of my time.
Looking back now, I can undoubtedly say that I regretted my action. Who knows what grade I could have attained if I didn't give up 8 years before?
Off to the guitar part. Mick did try teaching me playing chords and plucking. Week one and I was a ball of fire, enthusiastic as can be...come week two onwards I eventually got sick of having dents in my fingers from pressing down on the strings too hard.
I guess I just am not persistent enough in my endeavours.
Anyway, to the one that's reading this: if you do play an instrument of any kind please tell me! We could collaborate, post a video on YouTube and probably get scrutinised to hell. But it'll be fun! Heh heh.
