Felt so inspired to do a photo essay on my daily commute to school after starting on the M204 assignment...so here I am.
Dad needs to go overseas every now and then for business purposes. During that time, the car is available for use. Hence, the very lazy me who detests the morning crowd and squeezy bus rides will definitely drive to school. I get to wake up 25 minutes later than usual as well. Hahahahah.
First I gotta pick up my bag from this really messy table (which I refuse to clean up despite repeated nagging from my mother)
Heading out of the house:
It is a nice, sunny morning. Nothing can top this.
I make my way to the car.
Time check...8.26am. Yep, if you are observant enough, you will see that 10 Mile Stereo by Beach House is currently playing:
Step on the foot brake, release the hand brake and shift the gear to D!
Making my way towards the 4-way junction...oh look an ambulance right in front of me.
Checking for traffic in all directions, making sure that I move off only when it is safe to do so.
And then I get onto the PIE for like 560 metres before exiting into the CTE. The CTE will merge with the SLE which would bring me into Woodlands Ave 2. Now obviously there are no pictures because it is too darn dangerous to operate a DSLR while going at 100-110km/h...
Time check, 8.44am! I've arrived in Woodlands. Skeleton Boy by Friendly Fires is playing.
There are three traffic light junctions which finally leads to campus. It's really annoying, especially when I get hit by red lights all the time. Ah, the monotony of travel sometimes...
Finally got past those pesky red lights and approaching TRCC! Ya my rear view mirror is kinda blocking the words hahaha.
Approaching campus... *whistles*
There really are lots of taxis entering campus this morning...
Depress gently on the foot brake...hump ahead!
Yep I prefer parking at the multi-storey car park as it is within close proximity to my block.
Time check...8.53am. Car has been parked. One thing I like about the parking lots on campus is that the lots are wider than usual. This makes parking so much easier. Undercover Martyn by Two Door Cinema Club is playing :D *you hid there last time, you know we're gonna find you*
Step on the foot brake, engage the hand brake and shift the gear to P.
Hahaha I think I kinda parked too close to that Toyota Picnic beside me...
See that lady in a black dress with bags on each of her arms? That's Ratna in the morning. I park at level 4 because that's the only level which is bridged to the blocks. Adrian parks at level 2 though. I drove past his small built body and rectangular oversized spectacles this morning. I didn't wind down the window to say hi. Instead, I wished that there was a puddle of water next to him.
Oh my dear Ratna why did you hasten your pace and increase the distance between us?
I'll make a right turn here.
Go up this flight of stairs...
Through these doors...
And head to the gents first.
I then approach the dark and gloomy Staircase 70...
Gotta climb more steps again...
Through this door is the magical place known as E44...
First class of the day...visual communication.
That's my journey to school! I bet you want your driver's licence and a car made available to you right now. Work for it. You might not get it the first time round but I'm full of support for your subsequent attempts. Those of you who have not turned 18 or are just plain horrible at driving please don't be disheartened. Oh look, a picture of a cat which I recently made friends with. We're catching a movie together next week.
